Ushers & Greeters Ministry
Volunteers are needed to greet persons on their arrival at church; to properly seat them; to distribute bulletins and other worship materials; to collect the offering and to assist the congregation to go forward to receive Holy Communion. Ushers should be friendly and outgoing persons with a pleasant personality.
Ushers are needed for the 7:15 a.m., 10:30 a.m. Masses and 7:00 p.m. Evensong on Sundays and other special occasions.
Persons should be willing and able to reach church half hour before the service begins and leave after everything has been put away.
The Greeter Ministry serves to extend a sense of warmth, welcome and personal connection to all who attend worship services St. Matthew’s. Greeters can be particularly helpful to
visitors who may be in the market for a church home. By extending our sincere hospitality at the doorstep visitors may begin to get a sense for the character of our church. Greeters
can play an important role for the assimilation of new and returning members. If you have the gift of hospitality please consider volunteering for the Greeter Ministry.
