The Vigil & High Mass & Sermon 5:00 a.m. & 10:30 a.m. – Mass Sermon & 6:00 p.m.
The Easter Vigil including the Service of Light, Liturgy of the Word, Liturgy of Baptism, and Liturgy of the Eucharist.
The service begins outside the church, where a new fire is kindled, and the Paschal Candle is blessed and lit.
The church members then light their own candles from the Paschal Candle and process into the church while singing hymns.
The Liturgy of the Word includes several readings from the Bible, followed by a psalm and a reading from the New Testament.
The Liturgy of Baptism includes the blessing of the water, the renewal of baptismal promises, and the baptism of any catechumens.
The Easter Vigil concludes with the celebration of the Eucharist, during which the faithful receive the Body and Blood of Christ.
The Easter Vigil is a joyful celebration of the resurrection of Christ and the new life that he brings to the world.
